Control Horario Digital, open source working time recording system for companies Today I'm giving the green light to the new software I've developed for companies and freelancers. It's Control Horario Digital, an open-source system under the GNU AGPLv3 license to record working hours, manage employees, incidents, vacations, holidays, geolocation, and clock-in integrity from your web environment. The goal is not a simple demo: the system is built on a real, robust foundation ready for installation, internal and external audits for labor inspection, customization, and integrations.

Working time recording compliance

The functional core of the system is prepared to comply with Royal Decree-Law 8/2019, of March 8, regarding daily working time recording and time control in companies.

Data protection compliance

The system is designed with an architecture focused on security, traceability, and responsible data processing, aligned with the requirements of the GDPR.

I'm publishing it as free software under the GNU AGPLv3+ license. That means anyone can study the code, install it, modify it, and adapt it to their case, as long as they respect the license terms. My intention is clear: to provide something useful, transparent, and technically sound.

During development, I prioritized structure, security, traceability, and a solid web experience on both desktop and mobile. It's not a rushed experiment but a foundation ready to grow thoughtfully.

Beyond the functional part, the project includes a structure designed to be understood and extended by other professionals. This matters a lot when a system is to be audited, maintained, or evolved by third parties.

Why I'm publishing it as free software

The decision to release it comes from a technical and personal conviction. Publishing open source forces a higher standard: cleaner structure, clearer responsibilities, less opacity, and more honesty about what the system does and doesn't do.

It's also a way to give back. I've worked for years with well-known platforms and have seen how much value comes from having software that can be studied, audited, and improved. With Control Horario Digital, I want to contribute in the same way.

The chosen license, GNU AGPLv3+, protects the free nature of the project even when the system is used over a network. It's the model that best fits when you want to publish a useful, open project without turning it into a black box served as SaaS.

Designed for deployment, not just for show

I've aimed for the project to be useful in various scenarios: technical evaluation, lab, installation on hosting or own server, customization for a client, evolutionary development, or integration with other company processes.

I don't promise magic nor replace the legal, labor, or security analysis of each organization. What I do offer is a serious foundation to work on with professional judgment.
